“Fatal Error: No ray tracing capable GPU found” occurs in Quake II RTX when players try to launch it normally. This can easily be fixed by typing some code in the launch options.
Fix 1: Edit Quake II RTX Launch Options
Follow the steps below to do it;
- Launch Steam client.
- Go to your Library and type “Quake II RTX” in the search box.
- Right-click on it and select Properties option.
- Type +vid_rtx “0” in launch options.
- Save it and close Properties window.
- Launch Quake II RTX.
I assure you that you’re not going to see “Fatal Error: No ray tracing capable GPU found” again.
You can thank me later of course 🙂
